Butler County
Letter from Gamma Xi's Co-Presidents
Greetings,
Gamma Xi is a Butler County, Ohio chapter of the Ohio State Organization
and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Women educators in Gamma Xi Chapter are of varying ages and backgrounds
with a variety of interests. We possess a love of learning, caring hearts
and a willingness to care and share. We volunteer our time to support education
and those in need. We enjoy expanding our knowledge and socializing with one another.
Our chapter has seven or eight meetings each year from August to May.
Two meetings feature speakers. Other meetings include presenting awards,
working on a service project or socializing.
We contribute to Hope's Closet, Butler County Head Start and GIRLS,
an educational access for girls in Africa through UNICEF's
'Girls Initiative to Revitalize Learning and Success' (GIRLS) Fund.
Yearly conventions at the State and International level
feature speakers, workshops and social time.
Women who meet the criteria of being an active or retired teacher
are welcome to attend any of our meetings. To find out more about us
or to attend a meeting, click on the listing of programs for this year.
You may also email questions to the webmaster, Martha Henry at [email protected].
Yours truly,
Janice Kehm and Lisa Smallwood
